# Resolver-Initiated Payments

This pattern allows resolvers to facilitate balance transfers between EINs and either other EINs or other Addresses. Once an Allowance is set for a resolver, Resolvers can directly transfer balances between `EINs` and `addresses`. To ensure security of set allowances, Resolvers should maintain robust, rules-based token transfer functionality.
