# Setting Initial DApp Allowances

When a user adds a Resolver to their `EIN` through the `addResolver` or `addResolverFor` functions, they may set a zero or nonzero allowance for that Resolver as an argument in those function calls. More information on this process is found in the Resolver Management section.
